Too busy to deal

November 20, 2006

For those of you following the day-long saga (one day? it doesn't feel so much like a saga now, does it?) of the mysterious case of my missing contact lenses that were stolen by a store employee, you'll be pleased to know that the General Manager of the store? Doesn't have time for us.

Which is why when Roger demanded resolution of this matter, the GM simply walked my husband over to the optical section, told another employee to give Roger whatever he wanted, and left.

Roger now has all my contact lenses, forty six pairs of sunglasses, and twenty nine pairs of reading glasses. Anybody want dibs?

I'm glad you ended up with everything you payed for... and more! Glasses for everyone for Christmas this year!

2

Yeah! You got your contacts... that was really lame what they did, it is mostly lame because crap like that is stressful and it has a tendency to ruin our day(s) which really sucks because life is full of enough stress without having to deal with crap like this.

Next time I'll go and talk to them and like the hulk, they won't like me when I am angry... especially lately because man, I am angry A-LOT lately.

Interested to see if the same optical employee is still behind the register after today.

Sounds like the Storage Closet o' Goodness will be replenished...

5

FYI, I do realize that the past tense of "to pay" is "paid" not "payed." Grrrr.

6

WOW!!! Glad you got what you paid for! And It's nice to get some extra stuff too. But I am totally surprised that, that GM still has a job. If I was his boss I'd have fired him just for acting as if he had no time for a customer.

Y'all, I feel a little bad about this, because it seems that perhaps you don't know when I'm exaggerating. Which, really, is probably most of the time. Except just then. I wasn't exaggerating. It really is most of the time.

Roger didn't really walk off with all those glasses and sunglasses. He only got my contacts. But now that I think about it, I'm a little peeved we didn't request more. Because all those glasses and sunglasses? For free? Would be heavenly.

8

That's pretty sweet. I should have had Roger on hand when my bank was bilking me out of extra loan payments.

9

I heart the word bilk. Just saying.

10

Oh. And I'm glad you got your contacts.

11

Dude, I should have one with Roger. I'm totally out of contacts. Maybe he could have gotten mine, too.

But congrats on getting yours! Who would've thought -- all you have to do is pay $240 and then seriously harrass employees, and the next day, BAM! Contacts!
