A long gravel road

November 24, 2006

I've mentioned before that I grew up in the country, and that the driveway leading up to our home was a long gravel road. I snapped this picture about halfway up the driveway yesterday, as Roger and I were leaving my childhood home.

That's beautiful.

Um... that looks remote and lonely. I hope there is a nice inviting home behind you with a barn and cows and chickens running around in the front yard. Oh, and a porch swing with a pitcher of sun tea. And lemon squares. Yep, gotta have all of that.

Oh man, where is that 4-wheeling golf cart when you need it?!?!?

Good times!!!!

I grew up a few miles out of town too. I loved it. City people don't understand it.

I don't think it looks remote and lonely! I think it looks beautiful! It's untainted, it's wide open and it's yours. It's gorgeous.

Especially after living in Dallas.
