Overheard: Outside my cubicle

July 20, 2006

"Want some fresh air?"

(Asked by one man to another, when trying to find someone to go with him on his smoke break.)

Ooooooh don't get me started on smokers...

2

ewe. Grodie. I hope the non-smoker guy said "Yes, I do" and then went outside somewhere else far far away from the smoker!

3

I just wish that I got as many breaks as the smokers do!

4

Funny.

I like your new layout.

5

Funny!

I have SUCH a pet peeve about smokers standing RIGHT outside of the door of the building, so you have to push through a wall of smoke to get anywhere. Even worse: those who light up while IN the revolving door. Like, can't you wait 5 more seconds for that first puff?

6

Only in Texas ...

And I totally agree with Lawyerish. I hate that, too.

7

My husband thinks he should get to leave work at least 15 minutes early every day. He says if anyone asked why, he'd tell them it's his smoke break. That'd be nice, huh?

8

Nice irony there.

I don't get why smokers are given smoke breaks. It only encourages them to continue their disgusting habit, which is slowly killing them and us.

9

I like to call them "Cancer breaks." I also know that those in my building who take such breaks do so at least 4 times a day.

This is how I justify my Internet addiction.

10

This made me burst out laughing. Thanks, I needed that!
