Gosh! Idiot!

August 08, 2005

As you may have read on Katie's site, we had a game night this weekend. If you can't read, just look at the pictures she posted.

Since I left my pics at home, I have recreated a couple of them here. Now you'll see why I won $25 for 3rd place in the art contest in the 8th grade. I'm THAT good.

For Steve's benefit, this is Eddie, standing next to Bianca in my doorway:

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Eddo is 6'5", and Bianca is 5'1". She is my best friend. Or, she WAS my best friend. There's no telling once she has seen this picture.

These are Eddo's calves:

Any questions?
Edited 4:30pm:
By popular demand, I have re-created an image of Katie and her "incident" with the large ball. However, there's a twist! I'll give you one guess which drawing I created, and which drawing my husband created:

Number One
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Number Two
Which is it?

Is that really Eddie? Or is it "THE ROCK?"

(I was going to say Andre the Giant... but then I would have gotten about a bazillion... "Who's Andre the Giant?" That and Eddie's complexion is nothing like Andre the Giant.)

Also, where is your drawing of Katie balancing on the Ball?

And Andre the Giant is no more. EVERYONE should know Andre the Giant. Hello! Princess Bride!!!

seeing as how katie COULDN'T balance on the ball, i don't see why i should have to force a picture of it.

Jessica - I cannot type because I am trying too hard to laugh.

Ben - we all know who Andre the Giant is because we have all seen The Princess Bride (anybody want a peanut?).

Also, I'm a little scared of what Jessica's rendering of me would be.

KT: don't try so hard to laugh.

Ooops I mean not laughing.

I thought of that after I posted... (OF COURSE... I am talking with a bunch of girls.) He still doesn't look like Andre the Giant though.

Jes, at least do a rendition of Katie falling on her face.

Wait Ben are you calling The Princess Bride a girly movie?

And what in the world does this post have to do with egg donation and surgoracy (as listed in your google sidebar)?

GASP! with a capital "G". There's sword fighting and ROUS's and torture and holocaust cloaks. Sounds manly to me. Don't pick on one of my favs.

Ben, (wait isn't this Jes' blog?)
I really liked Princess Bride. I esp. liked Mandy Patinkin as Inigo Montoya. Oops, that doesn't sound too macho, does it? Hey, at least I can say I have seen Andre the Giant in person at a Wrestlemania event. He was huge.
BTW-nice picture drawing skills Jes, except for the calves. If I hadn't seen a real picture from Katie, I would have thought that was something indecent.

jes said...

oh, gosh. i'm glad you saw kt's pics. nothing indecent. except my drawing skills.

My name is Inigo Montoya, you killed my father, prepare to die.

Amstaff Mom said...

Heather, don't forget the "HELLO!" before the "my name is..." line. Except he says it more like el-low.

I love the drawings by you and Roger, Jes. Those are GREAT.

Ok, I saw the pics on KT's blog, and I can honestly say that it made your guy's drawings SOO much more funny.. KT.. that sounds like something I woud have done!

Jes, I think you should take your drawings and start an art book.. classic, timeless, raw, edgy.. just plain incredible! lol

UN-FREAKIN-BELIEVABLE!!!

Great photos and the likeness is unbelievable!!!!!

I think Roger did the last picture, but I like yours better!!!
August 09, 2005 10:19 AM

jes said...

yes, yes, the likeness is what i'm known for. i think that an idea of publishing a book is just what i need. perhaps i can start by making drawings and framing them for our refrigerator and walls at home.

i'm a bit surprised that you like mine better than roger's. his is so perfect. so professional. mine is so 3rd grade.
August 09, 2005 10:21 AM

Amstaff Mom said...

If yours is 3rd grade, mine would have been pre-K.
August 09, 2005 10:34 AM

Ben said...

Jes, Katie's hair is ridiculously shiny... ;)

I like Roger's because of all the loop de loops he drew indicating Katie's "fall from grace."

I use Pantene if anyone is looking for hair products. Do you think I can get an advertising campaign for them.

They could show a video of my acrobatic escapade and then say something like, "At least her hair looks good."
August 09, 2005 12:19 PM

Amstaff Mom said...

yes! we need to see that commercial! Please re-create "the fall".
August 09, 2005 12:24 PM

bianca said...

i like both you AND rogers drawings- i think htey show how we can see the same thing- but in different ways...my own rendition of KT falling off the ball would also be quite different- especially since i was at a different angle!
Also- i won't call off our friendship just yet, jes...but i am gonna have to talk to you about giving me fat arms...what's up with that?
August 09, 2005 1:15 PM

jes said...

just one arm is fat, really. oops.

but at least the rest of you is thin! :)
August 09, 2005 1:16 PM

MsThang said...

Yes framing the art, and posting them on the fridge is a GREAT start.. but definitely follow up with the book.. guaranteed best seller!
